Imagine having a whiter, beautiful smile before your next business meeting, dinner date, or milestone event. Teeth whitening is one of the fastest and most affordable cosmetic dentistry procedures. It can remove years of stains and discoloration in less than an hour.

Our team at [OFFICE] provides two types of teeth whitening to help you achieve the radiant smile you want in a method that fits both your lifestyle and your budget. You can relax in our office and walk out with a brighter smile that same day, or if you prefer to bleach your teeth in the privacy of your own home, we also have a take-home product that yields excellent results.

Both types will whiten teeth several shades, especially when applied after a teeth cleaning. A cleaning removes any food particles and bacteria that can contribute to tooth stains and interfere with the whitening process.

Why Whiten Your Teeth?

We all notice that our teeth becoming darker, grey or even yellow as we age. Our tooth color comes from a combination of the light reflected off the enamel—the hard outer layer of the tooth—and the color of the dentin, or middle layer, underneath. Over time, the enamel thins and the dentin darkens, affecting our tooth color.

Our genetic makeup determines the smoothness and thickness of our tooth enamel. Some of us might have thinner enamel—and more visible dentin—than others. Enamel is porous, so it’s also vulnerable to color change from certain foods, beverages, and other factors.

The most common causes of tooth discoloration include:

  • Tobacco products such as cigars, cigarettes and chewing tobacco
  • Infrequent brushing or flossing
  • Dark-colored beverages such as coffee, tea, red wines, and soda
  • Aging
  • Tooth decay
  • Damage to the tooth from an accident
  • Certain medical treatments and medications

Are you thinking about getting a crown, bridge, veneer, or denture? The dental porcelain used in such cosmetic and restorative treatments is color-matched to your natural teeth to blend in seamlessly. It’s stain resistant so it doesn’t respond to whitening treatments. That’s why we recommend whitening your natural teeth before the color-matching takes place. If you whiten dull or dingy teeth after such dental work, your veneer, crown, or other artificial tooth will stand out.

Zoom® Teeth Whitening: Whiter Teeth in One Day

Our office in [CITY] is proud to offer Zoom® WhiteSpeed teeth whitening treatment, which can deliver a smile that’s up to eight shades whiter after just one visit. Zoom is the most requested professional teeth whitening brand in America. It’s also proven to be comfortable for people with sensitive teeth because of its adjustable intensity settings.

Best of all, you can relax in our office while Zoom does all the work.

Our hygienist or dentist first will ensure that you don’t have any cavities or gum disease. Then we’ll assess your current tooth color to determine the duration of your treatment and take impressions of your teeth for custom-made trays. Zoom uses a two-step process of a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel and a special chairside light that enables the gel to penetrate the teeth faster. Treatment consists of three 15-minute sessions for a total time of 45 minutes. In less than an hour, you’ll leave our office with a much-whiter smile.

Opalescence Go®: Impressive Teeth Whitening at Home

If you prefer a more discreet option that fits into your schedule, our office in [CITY] also provides Opalescence Go. This professional-strength product is available only from dentists but is effective, safe, and simple to use. Treatment lasts five to ten days, but many people see an incredible difference after the first few uses.

Opalescence Go features innovative trays prefilled with a whitening gel that includes potassium nitrate and fluoride. Findings have shown that these ingredients help to reduce cavities, minimize tooth sensitivity, and increase the hardness of tooth enamel, improving your teeth’s overall health.

To use Opalescence Go, center one of the disposable trays over your upper or lower teeth. Bite gently and suck down or swallow to secure the gel. Then remove the colored outer tray. You’ll wear the clear and comfortable inner tray during treatment.

Choose a 15% concentration of whitening ingredients to wear for 15 to 20 minutes a day over five to ten days, or a 10% concentration worn for about 30 to 60 minutes over the same duration. Once your daily treatment is done, cleanup is easy. Just discard the tray and brush your teeth as you would normally.
